Social media offers a host of great features for us: we can connect with our friends and loved ones, and in the context of professional development it allows us to engage with the profession and have interesting conversation with colleagues and clients alike.
However, sometimes you can come across something that might contradict your views, make your sad or even furious. And this can happen both in personal and professional setting (for example, translators bad-mouthing or mocking other translators, people being rude to each other or forgetting about any kind of professional conduct).
What do you do in those situations? Have you encountered something like that when trying to engage with other members of your profession on social media?
Have you ever had a "that's it, I'm quitting social media for good" kind of moment?
Would love to hear your opinions!
