Trados and PDF files

I translated a pdf file but when I wanted to save the file as a pdf, it shows dox as the only saving options. I have changed the size of the font while translating but I made sure the font is back to the original one before saving. Yet, it won't save it as a pdf. What shall I do?

Hi, Fadwa! I don't think Trados allows you to generate target PDFs... The converting functionality only works from PDF to Word and is intended to make a non-editable file (such as PDFs) editable.
Here's a possible solution: generate your target translation as Microsoft Word file, then open the file in Word and File > Save it as > PDF (choose it from the drop-down list with all the possible formats in which you save files in Word) ?

A question, though: why would you want to send back a PDF to the client? Normally, a simple Word document would be enough, unless you want to punish them for sending you the PDF in the first place ?

Dmitry Great site, I use that too and sometimes it's more effective than professional and expensive conversion tools!
