Hello everyone!
This is my first post in the forum, yay!!!

Which tool do you use for keeping track of jobs and invoices? Excel, LSP, Baccs, TO 3000?

I started with Excel sheets, which worked fine until my business grew and I needed to have a better overview of my completed jobs and my income.

I tried TO 3000 and I found it ok but I didn't like the lack of further development.
Last year I purchased Baccs and I love it. It has a lot of time saving functions (including e-mail sender) and the developer is very responsive if I have questions or suggestions.

And you? How do you keep track of your business performance?

I'm two days away from finishing my free trial of LSP Expert. I think I'm going to start paying for the service. I've gotten into a really good rhythm with it! Before that, I was using Google Sheets, which worked well for me. I spent about three hours organizing everything, though, haha. LSP Expert does loads of that for you!

I'm currently in a spreadsheet phase myself ? I've tried several programs such as TO3000 and Baccs and LSP Expert because I'm aware of the challenges and potential risks of working in a spreadsheet, but none of those programs worked 100% for me for various reasons, among which fiscal requirements, too complex a software for my (still) basic needs, agency requirements (each and every agency want different data reported on their invoice) and I would just go nuts at setting all of this in a software - when it was possible to do so in the first place!
Invoice requirements are the biggest obstacle for me so far ? The last time I tried LSP Expert it wasn't even possible to report two different currencies in an invoice..... ? Maybe you guys know if the team has implemented this function in the meantime? Thanks!

I feel your pain, Eleonora.

I actually work very well with Baccs and when I have problems I simply ask the developer, he's always very nice and helpful.

Which fiscal requirements do you mean? Having worked in Italy I'm aware of the challenges, but I think they can be easily fixed.
If you want some help you can simply reach out to me, I can give you some more guidance and details.

With Baccs the biggest obstacle was setting up customized invoices. I've even watched a tutorial on YouTube on how to do that, but I never made it.
According to my VAT regime the invoices I issue must be numbered and report certain regulatory clauses. On top of that, for each client, I have several different minor requirements so my invoices are different every time.
After two afternoons spent customizing 1 invoice in Baccs without success, the thought of going on for days or weeks simply discouraged me.

I know, the templates are pretty difficult to customize, but once you find the trick it's quite doable.
I asked the developer when I had problems and he was always very helpful.
And it is definitely possible to customize invoices for each client.
