Hello TOM community,

Do you have a LinkedIn Premium account? Would you please share your (concise, if possible) thoughts over it? Did you get more clients? If yes, was it because you reached out to them or because your profile received more exposition (supposing that that is what happens) and hence you had many people contacting you?

Did it justify the investment ($48/month)?

fabiomcaldas Hey Fabio. I'm terrible at LinkedIn, I barely use it and I just can't figure out how to make it work for me. So I can't really say anything about the premium plan, but I gotta say 48 bucks a month sound like an awful lot of money.

Hi Fabio, I once tried out LinkedIn Premium for a month, it was last year so I'm sorry if I can't be more specific. I do remember that I didn't think it was worth an investment. I didn't see any connection between the plan upgrade and an increased exposition. The only positive aspect was that I could see a detailed summary of who visited my profile and that could help in generating more leads - but no guarantees on actually getting more clients.

eleonorang Thanks for sharing your experience, @eleonorang! I'm a noob when it comes to lead generation through LinkedIn, I prefer focusing on SEO and inbound marketing.

That is what I figured. We have to make all these online platforms work for us, but my feeling is that somehow we are only working to embellish them with our presence (CV, expertise, skills, etc) without getting anything out of it, and that is especially true when you are a paying member.

I can't say much of LinkedIn as I haven't even tried the 1-month tryout yet, but I did try another platform for 2 years without success. I mean, the only thing a got was a bunch of low-rate-fast-delivery proposals from questionable sources.

Well, let's wait to see if someone had a more positive experience.
