Dmitry Long story short, until recently I was committed to specializing in a medical field, but from what I've observed and from the difficulties I've faced in the past months alone I started to realize that I might have to study for years, if not decades, to reach a proper level of expertise, and this without the certainty that, 10-15 years from now, I would still like to translate in the medical field. Which is why I have started considering a whole different field to specialize in, which would be the food & travel sector, which reflects so much more my personal interests. However, that would be a vast sector and I'd probably need to find a smaller niche in it... etcetera, etcetera ?

Following up on this, I am currently reading the guide and it's really well-done! Compared to other guides, it covers in detail certain aspects that are often left aside, such as how to choose a theme for your website and recs on where to find quality free themes ?

Don't beat yourself up about it, though! Accumulation (and processing) of information is part of the process. One day you'll wake up inspired and start building like crazy! It's a ton of fun too! (don't get carried away, though, you gotta translate too) ?

Dmitry Haha! You know I was really inspired yesterday and because there was radio silence for several hours I decided I would try to set up a test website... the result? I received 5 requests in 30 minutes -_-

Hmmm... so there only like 4 themes? Woocommerce is a great company, but they mostly focus on developing themes for online shops.

You might want to check out some theme aggregators from Product Hunt

You can start with smaller steps and work your way towards more complicated and time-consuming things.

ClaudiaBefu I LOVE ❤ Wordpress! The sheer extensibility of the platform is mind blowing. Everything on The Open Mic was built using Wordpress (except for this forum).

So, basically, if you can dream it, you can build it. 🤓

It also has a great community behind it with thousands of developers. So if you're stuck there is always someone on the public forums who can help.

Plus the platform is constantly developing and adapting to new trends which is a good thing.

I`ve used Wordpress in the past and I think it is very easy to learn, complex and customizable but I wanna make a suggestion.

How about a presentation page from "about.me" (Paid vs Free). I am considering making one for myself.
It is pretty simple and I think it is great for individuals who are starters like I am.
