ClaudiaBefu Hi Claudia I really liked the free MOOC on futurelearn called Start Writing Fiction. One of the Tutors was Alex Garland author of The Beach and Ex-machina. I followed it two years ago and I have been writing a novel ever since (need to finish it!!). There is actually a translation course there now I was following but they have since changed their system, now you can only follow a course for free for a few weeks, before it was at your own pace.

DmitrySavin You would have enjoyed the Goth weekend in Whitby last weekend, it was fab and the costumes were really elaborate. There was a bloke I could swear was Johnny Depp in Pirates of the Caribbean and another dressed as Thranduil!

RenataFTorres Hi Renata I have been translating for a long time but only last year I started doing QC which led me to the subtitles/dubbing department of the same agency and I love it to bits. I am due to start a course in Brazil (through the distance as I live in London) for dubbing, they do a subtitle one as well, and gaming. Google a school called Brasillis.

LooshLuz I know the school. Is the course taught by Paulo Noriega? I've met him in person and he's the sweetest guy! He told me last December he would soon start teachind dubbing at Brasillis. Celtic languages are very rich in phrases and literature.
One of the best writers in the Irish Language Liam Ó Muirthile passed away a couple of days ago.
He will be sadly missed in the Irish Langauge community.

I have a History connection too, I work for Historic Royal Palaces, the charity that administers 5 Palaces for the English Crown, I run activities for schools and families and work with object handling, cataloguing and conservation. Thank you for this information I will look him up. I am always interested to know more about Ireland.
