I have been trying to establish my brand for the past 8 months, and I also teach online for BYU-Idaho. Is Bruce Willis in the movie the 6th sense? Hi everyone! I'm Teresa, from Italy, translator from English/German to Italian. I work in Marketing, Tourism, and Subtitling, having chosen subjects I am passionate about: creative writing, travel and cinema. I've been working for almost 5 years as a translator, but I'm actually new to networking, so I thought it was about time to start connecting with fellow translators!
Besides translation and language learning, I'm also interested in international relations (especially East Asian), history and cultural diplomacy, and I have thought about translating for these fields, too, but I'm afraid opportunities in these niches would be more difficult to find.
I'm looking forward to exchanging ideas with you, guys!

Hi y'all! no, I'm not from Texas ? I do Spa>Eng business and law translations, here's my site. I spent my gap year in France so I speak a bit of French too.

As much as a translator, I consider myself an entrepreneur. One of my side gigs is Translation Is For Lovers. I created designs for merch for us freelancers, interpreters, and translators. Right now, you can check it out here on my Facebook shop. I plan on having a big-girl site for it soon. ? I wrote about it here on The Open Mic too.

I am from Nebraska and live in Colorado. One place I would love to visit for a month or so is Japan. I've also heard of a train that runs the length of Chile and I'd like to do take that some day too. Has anyone done that?

My favorite Bruce Willis movie has to be Pulp Fiction but - at the risk of dating myself here - I also watched Moonlighting in the 80s. He was pretty damn funny.

Hey - I read a book called Wild Swans for an Asian history class in college. It was about three or more generations of the women in a family and was really fascinating. Is that what you wrote a thesis on? I remember it took a while to get into it, but I really liked that book. :0)

You probably already know that, but in Europe, you can buy a special train pass and travel throughout the continent. It's called Interrail. Always wanted to do that but I would not go alone and I didn't find any travel companions

eleonorang Hi Eleonora! Well, the truth is: before starting the University I took my chance to travel Western Europe (70 days). Then when I was about to graduate, my fellows and I made our 8-month trip thru North America, the Middle East and Europe. And last but not least, I spent 1 whole year living and working in Northern Germany, where I also took the chance to make short visits to the Netherlands, Belgium and Denmark. Wonderful experiences all of them!
