Hi everyone! I am Leila Esgaib, an environmental engineer so passionate about languages and cultures who decided to give it a try in the translation industry a few years ago. So now I’m back in school currently doing a Master degree in Translation in France. In the meantime, I read you guys a lot and try to learn as much as possible from your experiences! And hopefully, I’ll be able to share some of mine…eventually ?
My language pairs are English/French>Spanish (which is my mother tongue).
And last but not least, my favorite Bruce Willis movie is 12 Monkeys (and the fact that Brad Pitt is in it has nothing to do with it….really!)

A Bruce Willis movie, huh? Well, I Iiked the sixth sense, where the shrink supposed to help the kid seeing dead people is actually... dead, and doesn't know it (and neither does the audience) until the end of the movie... As for other movies with Bruce Willis, I haven't seen them all (is that even legal at The Open Mic?) to make a fair choice. I might try 12 Monkeys now (nothing to do with Brad Pitt being in the film, obviously). Cheers! :-)

My name is Viktor, I'm an English to Russian translator; ENG <> RUS interpreter, editor, proofreader. I also teach ESL, as an adjunct college professor in New York.

My other language pairs are FR>ENG, FR>RUS, RUS>ENG.

I'm passionate about languages (and linguistics) in general, love books and literature. My particular expertise is in technical, business, scientific & literary areas. I started my career as an interpreter, mostly with ENG/FR > RUS language pairs. Then, over the years, I combined teaching with various translation assignments. Now, I'm freelancing, mostly.

I'm a big fan of retro movies, both european & American. TCM is my favorite channel.

My name is Eleonora and I am an Italian translator working from English and German. I work mainly in the technical and marketing field but I'm currently targeting other fields that I feel would suit me better, such as tourism&travel.
