Best Trados plugins

For Trados Studio users, what are your favourite apps and plugins? Which ones make such a difference in your work routine that you would definitely recommend them to your friends and colleagues?

I'll start with my all time favourite: Glossary Converter.
It's the fastest and easiest way I know to create a termbase from a glossary (and vice-versa!). You can convert Excel glossaries into MultiTerm termbases just by dragging your file to the Glossary Converter icon and dropping it. It's great compared to an endless compilation of entries in MultiTerm. Also, in case your client asks for an overview of the terminology in use and doesn't own Trados, you can have an Excel glossary ready in seconds.

Another great one is SDLXliff2TMX: this app enables you to convert bilinguals (.sdlxliff files) into a TMX file. It's a time saver because, without it, you would need to update your translation memory, then open the Translation Memory view and export a TMX file manually from there.

My absolute favourite is Regex Match AutoSuggest Provider! It requires you to learn about regular expressions, but if once you do, it lets you do some interesting things. I have it set up to autosuggest dates in weird formats (that Trados doesn't already pick up), saving me from retyping them.

Hi, jbeagley and welcome to the forum!
The world of regular expressions is both scary and fascinating, which is why it's probably worth exploring! I caught a glimpse of it in university when our professors tried (without success) to make Regex pros out of us students... I still manage to apply the gist of it on occasions and it is useful indeed! Thanks for recommending this one!

As regards symbols in Studio, was the Insert symbol function integrated with the 2015 version? I can't remember and I'm wondering whether the SDL Trados Studio Symbols extension you mentioned was a plus for Studio 2014 because of the lack of that function, or whether it's truly better in terms of functionality

I wanted to create a thread on this subject, but here it is! So I'm happy to bring this thread back to life!
One of the plugins I use the most is WebLookup.
It allows to search for a term online with only a right-click of your mouse. You can set pretty much any online dictionary, like Glosbe, IATE, ProZ Kudoz and so on.
It really saves me a lot of time.
