It's no coincidence that I have chosen to specialize in Subtitling, too: it's just an excuse to watch TV shows ? honestly, I'm a TV show addict, but in my defense, there are so many good dramas on TV, it would be a shame to miss them. Anyway, my favorite series ever is probably Breaking Bad, but if we are talking about still running shows, then it's Game of Thrones, hands down. I read the books first and loved them, but I'm not one of those fundamentalist book readers who have to point out anything that is different from the books ?
I also love Stranger Things, Better Call Saul, Westworld, Sherlock, Fargo... I'm probably forgetting some. There are also some shows I really want to watch but, incredibly, I still haven't managed to, like House of Cards, The Handmaid's Tale (but I'd like to read the novel first) and American Gods (loved the book, as anything by Neil Gaiman actually, so I'm looking forward to it). But there are so many shows to watch, and so little time ?
@eleonorang I agree with you about The Handmaid's Tale, sure I wouldn't watch it when I need something just for fun and entertainment, but stories like this need to be made and watched. Even more so nowadays, since we have come to a point where you can hardly tell the difference between a dystopian world and ours, and now more than ever, art needs to denounce the violations of fundamental rights that are occurring every day.
