Teresa Yeah they had started doing this before, but in season 7 it got ridiculous! I get it that they had to sacrifice runtime for all those awesome special effects and epic scenes, but suspension of disbelief has become impossible, it's like characters can teleport Besides, while I did enjoy this latest season, you can really notice the absence of Martin's writing. It's always a great show, but you know, a more conventional one now, whose objective is often only to please its fans, while in the past it used to be unapologetic and unconventional. But hey, I'll still be waiting for season 8 like crazy, and two years it's TOO much
If only we could get the 6th book in the meanwhile, in 2018 perhaps...yes, I wish!
Totally agree on everything I was going crazy bc nobody else seemed to notice the difference from when George was behind it! Of course, it's somewhat better in comparison to the slow progressing of the first seasons, but everybody noticed that it has turned into a more commercial product (fewer killings, more jokes, etc). Oh well. I hope time will fly if I complain in the meantime
George recently said he thinks he can publish the sixth book AND the first book about the Targaryens in 2018. Do we have to believe him? Mmh...
Btw: we should open a GOT-only topic
